Abstract
The present invention relates to synergistic immunogenic compositions for preventing whooping cough and infections caused by streptococcus pneumoniae. Additionally, the compositions of the present invention may offer protection against infections caused by other pathogens through the synergistic combination of antigens thereof. In particular, the present invention provides synergistic immunogenic compositions comprising at least one inactivated Borcletella Pertussi.s cellular antigen and at least one protein antigen comprising one or more streptococcus pneumoniae a (pspa) surface proteins or fragments thereof. The present invention further provides synergistic immunogenic compositions comprising at least one inactivated bordetella pertussis cell antigen, at least one protein antigen comprising one or more streptococcus pneumoniae a (pspa) surface proteins or fragments thereof, and one or more diphtheria and/or tetanus toxins. The present invention also relates to the use of one or more synergistic immunogenic compositions of the present invention in the manufacture of combination vaccines for the prevention of whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria and/or infections caused by streptococcus pneumoniae. The present invention further relates to the use of the compositions of the present invention in the manufacture of vaccines for the prevention of whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria and infections caused by streptococcus pneumoniae.

A presente invenção refere-se a composições imunogênicas sinérgicas para prevenção de coqueluche e de infecções causadas por streptococcus pneumoniae. Adicionalmente, as composições da presente invenção podem oferecer proteção contra infecções causadas por outros patógenos através da combinação sinérgíca de antígenos dos mesmos. Em particular, a presente invenção fornece composições imunogênicas sinérgicas que compreendem ao menos um antigeno celular de .Borcletella Pertussi.s inativada e ao menos um antigeno proteico compreendendo uma ou mais proteínas de superfície a (pspa) de streptococcus pneumoniae ou fragmentos das mesmas. A presente invenção fornece ainda fornece composições imunogênicas sinérgicas que compreendem ao menos um antígeno celular de bordetella pertus.sis inativada, ao menos um antigeno proteico compreendendo uma ou mais proteínas de superfície a (pspa) de streptococcus pneumoniae ou fragmentos das mesmas e uma ou mais toxinas diftéricas e/ou tetânicas. A presente invenção refere-se também ao uso de uma ou mais composições imunogênicas sinérgicas, da presente invenção na manufatura de vacinas combinadas para prevenção contra coqueluche, tétano, difteria e/ou infecções causadas por streptococcus pneumoniae. A presente invenção refere-se ainda ao uso das composições da presente invenção na manufatura de vacinas para prevenção contra coqueluche, tétano, difteria e infecções causadas por streptococcus pneurnoniae.
