Abstract
Today we can say that it is almost impossible to think of research without animal models, and the most iconic model used since the mid-17th century is the House Mouse (Mus musculus), whose ancestor originated in Central Asia. (ANDRADE, 2002; KO and LUCA, 2009). The experiment was carried out with animals with stereotyped behaviors characteristic of stress such as aggressiveness, repetitive movements and gnawing the bars, the animals were organized into 4 groups, each of which had 3 subgroups, of which each group was offered environmental enrichments of the type foodstuffs, made with an oat- based mixture in two textures. The evaluation was carried out during 45 days, in 6 weighings, the data obtained were analyzed in the GraphPad Prism 9 program, which allows the statistical and variance evaluation, in addition to the construction of graphs. We concluded that despite the enrichments being different from each other, there was no significant change in weight gain between them, but there were distinct behavioral changes between each group and each subgroup.
